Overview
Manage day-to-day operations of technology and network systems for the Martin Scorsese Center and the Department of Film & Television at Tisch School of the Arts, including Mac and Windows desktops, endpoints, servers, and learning spaces. Administer and support applications and databases. Develop and implement operational and creative policies and practices. Research, develop, propose, plan, coordinate, and facilitate learning opportunities in training information technology. Ensure computer standards, cybersecurity, and implementation and training are consistent with established industry and School curricular standards and related technologies. Research emerging technologies and make recommendations. Advise students, faculty, and staff on technology, and serve as resource expert recommending options to resolve complex problems. Partner with the Tisch School of the Arts IT department to implement university-wide technologies. Supervise administrative and student employee staff.

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science
Required Experience:
5+ years film or video production computer management, desktop support maintenance, strong background with Windows operating systems, MS Office, computer hardware, and desktop support concepts, supervision experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience in an academic and/or post production environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Agile thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate conflict and maintain positive relationships at all organizational levels, both internal and external. Proficiency in integrating and managing complex projects. Proficiency with a wide range of network systems, post-production technologies, and software. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to analyze trends and provide recommendations. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels. Ability to direct, evaluate, and implement a variety of operations and activities.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated expertise in strictly adhering to data privacy and security procedures. This includes ensuring compliance with legal and NYU security standards, safeguarding sensitive information, and mitigating potential risks effectively. Technical expertise in operating systems, network protocols, and various software applications. Proficiency in data management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Knowledge of current and emerging technologies (e.g., digital and analog film and television technologies). Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $82,250.00 to USD $102,250.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
