Wage - $22 per hourThe Tim Hortons Assistant Manager position assists in managing all aspects of a restaurant’s operation in order to ensure that Tim Hortons’ standards around people, products, cleanliness, and an Exceptional Guest Experience are fulfilled.I. Food PaperThe assistant manager is expected to assist with ordering supplies bi-weekly from TDL and three times a week from the Dairy supplier.Assists the Restaurant Manager in planning and working to budgets, achieving sales and transaction targets, including control of Food/Paper/Labour costs in the restaurantCollaborate with the manager to keep track of restaurant costsTraining, mentoring and coaching restaurant teams to increase efficiency.Creating new ideas and suggestions to improve restaurant food paper costEnsure restaurants do not run out of products at any time of the day.II. Operations:A- On Floor Tasks Collaborate with the Manager in weekly audits Training, mentoring and coaching restaurant teams to increase efficiency.Ensures high standards of guest experience are maintainedResolves guest complaints and turns potentially negative situations into positive onesAids in maximizing team member coverage at all times, performs the role of Floor Leadership, and works as required in various areas during busy periods to maintain optimal guest service levelsResponsible for daily cash procedures and assists with financial reportingCollaborate with the Team Members and Manager to run the day-to-day restaurant operations and comply with pre-established Tim Hortons operating proceduresCoordinate with the Restaurant Manager as and when required for other activities.B - Administrative work (Back Office)All back-office tasks for either the end of the shift or during non-peak operating hours when customer traffic is minimal.Managers log posted every day without FailFollow-up on audit postings are done, and problems are corrected.Addressing all restaurant guest complaints Guest complaints should be resolved within 24 hours and updatedEscalation of guest complaints should not occur.Detailed investigation of each guest complaint should be identified Support the Manager/MUM Create training strategies, new initiatives, and materials Ensuring that the restaurant complies with all policies and standards set out in MOL and our overarching organizational standards. (JHSC, POLICIES, PROCEDURES ETC)Documenting all coaching discussions with the team and mgmt in written format and emailing them to Manager/MUMIII. LaborEnsure the restaurant schedule is completed by Tuesday and verified by WednesdayNo changes should be made by the leadership team without posting a msg for Mgrs.SPMH and labor % are achieved according to the standard.Proper allocation of staff in the restaurant, keeping the peak period and busy hours in consideration.Make sure TM or Managers are not assigned Monday to Friday schedules, everyone should be available at least one weekendStat holidays are assigned on a proper basis to the team members.STAT HOLIDAY schedules are properly managedResponsible for Controlling Labor Costs By Reducing Employee TurnoverAs a qualified candidate, you fulfill on the following criteria:Demonstrate a passion for guest service and creating exceptional guest experiencesPride yourself on building relationships with guests and your teamHave strong operational experienceHave a passion for coaching and mentoring and are comfortable delegating tasksAre ready to take on the full responsibility of running a Tim Hortons restaurantEnjoy leading a diverse team in a fast-paced environmentAre able to engage others and develop high performance within your team
