Job Description
The Account Advisor Supervisor is a player-coach role at the heart of our client operations. You will lead a team of Account Advisors, setting the standard for service quality, resolving escalations, and driving continuous improvement across our client portfolio. You will serve as the primary bridge between the Account Advisor team, internal stakeholders, and technology systems, ensuring every client receives accurate, timely, and exceptional support.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Coaching
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Advisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Serve as the primary escalation point for client and team issues, resolving complex situations with professionalism and urgency
• Crosstrain team members across all client verticals to ensure consistent coverage and knowledge depth
• Conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings to communicate priorities, share feedback, and support career development
• Update and add to internal SOPs
• Document completed Data Security and Vendor Questionnaires for team access
Client Operations & Quality
• Monitor key success metrics—including customer response rates, and onboarding accuracy and drive corrective action when targets are not met
• Ensure all internal and external requests are acknowledged and resolved within established SLAs (48-hour response standard)
• Support the team in fulfilling custom client deliverables
Systems & Process Improvement
• Act as the team’s primary liaison for IT enhancements across internal CRM and Salesforce
• Submit and track system tickets when internal platforms or client-facing portals are not functioning as intended
• Identify process gaps and collaborate cross-functionally to implement scalable improvements
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in account management or account support, including order processing, customer training, contract management, and billing
• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a team in a client-facing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a genuine customer-service mindset
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure
Preferred:
• Experience with Salesforce CRM
• Familiarity with insurance, benefits, or financial services industry workflows
• Track record of driving process improvements in a high-volume, client-facing team
Location
• Remote-first role with a hybrid expectation of reporting to the Minneapolis, MN office once per week
• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer

The base pay range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 (max pay). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
