THE ROLE

We are seeking an exceptional 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our overnight manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring operational continuity, maximizing productivity, maintaining world-class quality and safety standards, and building a culture where excellence is the expectation - not the exception.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct reports are hourly Direct & Indirect Labor
  • Forward thinking always looking ahead for projects and complex jobs that will affect resources.
  • Ensure team is operating safely and following Lakeside safety program guidelines
  • Dedication to 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized and efficient plant that is always ready for customer visits.
  • Communication is key: This position participates in the daily production meeting to review Safety, Quality & Delivery and set the plan for the day
  • Daily quality (RRS) reviews to ensure Root cause and Countermeasures are being determined and implemented to continuously improve the quality system to meet customer expectations and maximize productivity
  • Communicates the company’s vision and values
  • Implements and ensures planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded
  • Maintains staff by leading, selecting, and training employees in developmental growth opportunities
  • Cross-training employees for maximum production flexibility
  • Develops and implements standard operating procedures for all production operations.
  • Works with VP of Operations to strategically develop and implement yearly operating budget including cost downs and cap. ex. needs
  • Maintains an emphasis on proactive preventative machine maintenance to maximize machine up time and safety
  • Ensures operation of equipment by following regularly scheduled maintenance using calibration control system software
  • Ensures production facility maintenance is performed in accordance with the company standards
  • Communicates effectively with different departments and managers to ensure goals of the organization are being met or exceeded
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven humble leadership skills and demonstrates design to foster growth and development of employees and teams.
  • 5 – years plus of experience in production management related position(s)
  • Proven track record in managing production results
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget
  • Ability to create and manage production budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to improve work efficiency

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to move and carry substantial parts on varied surfaces
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements
  • Ability to operate a crane
  • Ability to operate a forklift

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Manufacturing facility with various types of manufacturing equipment
  • Areas in production that are wet/damp
