Job Description
The Quality Engineer 1 supports the quality assurance program for our process services department.
Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from four-year college or university
2. Prefer 1 year experience as a Quality Engineer) in manufacturing is preferred.
3. Excellent computer skills (Including, but not limited to: Windows, Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
4. Excellent Communication skills.
5. Work independently, and proactively.
6. Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP.
7. Experience with performing statistical analysis with software (i.e Excel, minitab,…)
8. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
9. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematics or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Process Services manager, Quality Manager and the Production Team in implementing and maintaining the quality management system
2. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for production related concerns or quality escapes
3. Support the Quality Inspectors and Quality Specialists to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
4. Execution of continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
5. Develop training to build quality awareness.
6. Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
7. Create and maintain Process Services quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality work instructions, PFMEA and control plans.
8. Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
9. Preparation of QA reports.
