Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Summary

The LPN practices with a limited degree of independence in judgment and decision-making with actions and practices supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN practices in accordance with the ANA standards of Nursing Practice and Code of Ethics. Direct and indirect activities are incorporated to facilitate this process, both within the unit and interdepartmentally.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Requirements

• Active LPN licensed through the Maryland Board of Nursing
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an LPN or active enrollment in an accredited ADN/BSN nursing program with the intent to obtain RN licensure in the State of Maryland or compact state
