Pre-Onboarding Academy Instructor in Flowery Branch, Georgia at Bitzer US Inc

Position Summary

The Pre-Onboarding Academy Instructor is responsible for delivering a structured, short-term training program designed to prepare incoming warehouse employees for immediate success in production operations. This role supports the development and execution of a 1–2week preparatory course focused on forklift certification and foundational Macola system training. The goal is to ensure all participants enter the warehouse fully certified, trained, and ready to contribute from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate a structured Pre-Onboarding Academy program for new warehouse hires
• Conduct forklift training, including coursework and hands-on practical road testing
• Evaluate participant performance and determine certification readiness
• Deliver Macola system training using a “Watch, Try, Do” methodology:
• Guide trainees through instructional videos and live demonstrations
• Supervise hands-on practice and independent execution of transactions
• Assess trainee progress and provide additional coaching when needed
• Enforce program standards, including exiting participants who do not meet required benchmarks
• Partner with warehouse leadership to define and maintain essential Day 1 Macola transaction requirements
• Track and document training progress, completion, and certification outcomes
• Maintain a safe and structured training environment aligned with company policies
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement of the training program

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or manufacturing environment required
• Strong knowledge of forklift operations and safety standards
• Experience with Macola (or similar ERP systems) preferred
• Prior training, coaching, or mentoring experience strongly preferred
• Ability to evaluate skill competency and provide constructive feedback
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain instructor-level certification)
• 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred

Work Environment

• Combination of classroom-style training and warehouse floor environment
• Requires standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods
• May involve lifting up to standard warehouse weight requirements

Position Type

• Temporary / Contract (estimated duration based on hiring demand)
• Approximately 20–30 hours per week (flexible based on training needs)

Program Objective

This role directly supports operational efficiency by ensuring new hires are fully prepared before entering the production environment. Successful trainees will begin their roles with forklift certification and baseline Macola knowledge, enabling them to contribute immediately to material flow and production support.
