This role leads the design, preconstruction, and construction delivery of complex development projects within a dynamic data center environment.
You will oversee multiple projects and campuses, balancing budgets, schedules, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
The position offers significant visibility, including responsibility for executive-level program reporting and decision support.
You will collaborate closely with facilities, engineering, design, construction, procurement, commissioning, and operations teams.
The role also contributes to master development planning, site strategy, permitting, procurement, and client-focused solutions.
Success requires strong commercial construction expertise, disciplined project management, and the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving programs.

- Lead the design, preconstruction, construction, and closeout activities for multiple development projects across assigned campuses, maintaining accurate budgets, schedules, status reports, and project documentation.
- Develop and communicate monthly program and project updates for executive-level reviews, presenting key milestones, financial performance, risks, and decisions clearly and concisely.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, designers, engineers, contractors, and construction teams to develop comprehensive campus master plans, development programs, capital budgets, and site design solutions.
- Manage entitlement, permitting, and multi-phase site development activities while ensuring projects remain aligned with established timelines, budgets, quality expectations, and business objectives.
- Develop scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning services; participate in procurement activities, cost estimating, bid evaluation, and pricing analysis.
- Work closely with strategic procurement teams to coordinate equipment sourcing, purchasing, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate project submittals with relevant site stakeholders and monitor project costs, commitments, cost-to-date, and overall budget performance.
- Establish and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate project teams, and drive timely completion of critical milestones.
- Review contractor pay applications and change order requests, negotiate pricing where appropriate, and ensure contractual and financial controls are maintained.
- Establish appropriate construction security procedures in collaboration with site security teams and support product deployment planning and communications.
- Collaborate with sales engineering and product teams to support customized solutions for prospective clients while maintaining alignment with project schedules, site capabilities, and budgets.
- Serve as a key liaison between development teams and internal stakeholders, representing project interests in owner, architect, and contractor meetings.
- Build strategic relationships with stakeholders and partners that support successful project delivery and long-term development objectives.
- Support due diligence for potential new development sites and contribute to initiatives that strengthen project management processes, standards, and protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience managing commercial construction projects from conceptual development through procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Demonstrated experience with major project delivery methods, including Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design-Build.
- Strong knowledge of construction project management practices, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, cost control, and contractor management.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint for executive-level presentations and Excel for project budgets, cost tracking, and program management.
- Experience delivering mission-critical facilities, particularly data centers, is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience managing MEP trades is preferred.
- An MBA, Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex project information to executive audiences and facilitate effective stakeholder decision-making.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to build productive relationships across engineering, construction, procurement, operations, sales, product, and other business functions.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
