In this role, you will act as a key enabler for testing teams by taking ownership of requirements gathering, documentation, and test readiness activities across multiple workstreams. You will work closely with manual and automation testers, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment between business needs and test execution. This position is ideal for a hybrid BA/QA professional who thrives in structured yet dynamic environments and enjoys bringing order and clarity to complex delivery streams. You will play a vital role in freeing up senior testing resources by ensuring all pre-execution materials are accurate, complete, and actionable. Working fully remotely within South Africa, you will collaborate across squads and contribute to both BAU and project-based initiatives in a highly collaborative setup.

• Lead requirements elicitation, clarification, and documentation to ensure fully testable acceptance criteria.
• Produce and maintain structured test artefacts including test cases, scenarios, feature files, and traceability matrices.
• Partner closely with manual and automation testers to ensure alignment of test coverage and requirements.
• Ensure test readiness by identifying gaps, unblocking dependencies, and clarifying ambiguous requirements.
• Participate in requirement and test impact reviews to ensure alignment across squads and delivery streams.
• Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring visibility of scope, risks, and dependencies at all times.
• Support continuous improvement of BA and QA processes across multiple teams and initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, including familiarity with pull requests and development workflows where needed.

• 5–6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong exposure to quality assurance or testing environments.
• Proven hybrid capability as either a BA with testing experience or a QA professional with strong BA fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of test design principles, Gherkin/feature files, and how automation frameworks consume requirements.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with tools and workflows such as Git or similar version control systems is a plus.
• Experience in domains such as payments, banking accounts, or access control is highly advantageous.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear, structured, and unambiguous outputs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with strong ownership and ability to bring structure to complex environments.
• Strong sense of accountability, with the ability to ensure test readiness and delivery alignment.
