Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Process Engineer, Manufacturing, will take responsibility for all design of processes within his/her given brief. The ideal candidate is expected to proactively identify where processes can be adapted and optimized to ensure cost effectiveness directly relating to operations. The main priorities of the position will be maintaining and improving safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities include project management, capital planning, maintenance of current processes, and support of the production and maintenance teams. The Process Engineer, Manufacturing, must possess the capabilities to drive requirements into the development of products and processes. Specifically, the Process Engineer’s duties will include developing an in-depth knowledge of our supply base, strengths and weaknesses of internal procedures and business processes; strengths and weaknesses of equipment, and the strengths and weaknesses of key personnel who contribute to the quality of the products and services offered by the organization.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Continuously seeking out improvement opportunities for safety, quality, and productivity.Management of assigned capital projects through initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closing phases of said projects.Identification of manufacturing process improvements and capital acquisitions that include communication by use of the PMI framework as part of project plans.Prepare cost cost-benefit analysis to allow senior evaluation and approval of projects and continue to inform stakeholders as the project progresses.Creation and maintenance of safe countermeasures to identified unsafe conditions, near misses, first aids, and any other safety opportunities for improvement.Maintaining NCR and quality improvement activities to improve product and packaging quality from a customer perspective in terms of regulatory and assurance requirements.Leading Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA / Control Plan) creation and updates (with supplier participation).Creation of process flow charts, OPLs, SOPs, SOSs, and other standardization documents.Ensuring that all processes operate within lean manufacturing principles (value stream mapping, 5S, 3M, kanban, poka-yoke, 5Q0D, 5Why, kaizen, 5W1H, etc.).Conduct workflow analysis and make recommendations for improvement in material handling and plant layout.Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement.Create Change Controls as related to manufacturing process improvements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Engineering degree, B. Eng. Mechanical or equivalent.Proven ability to create and execute project plans that have achieved the identified targets.Demonstrated experience working as part of diverse teams to achieve common goals, exemplifying positive thinking to drive activity forward.Problem-solving and root cause analysis experience.Knowledge of Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint, and Excel data manipulation – either in use or in understanding of capability – considered an asset.Experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer, in a high-volume manufacturing environment considered an asset.Expertise in PFMEA techniques, Lean Manufacturing techniques, PMBOK/PMI structures, or Quality Control background considered assets.

Résumé du poste:
Relevant du Directeur de la fabrication, le/la Ingénieur(e) Procédés – Fabrication sera responsable de la conception de tous les processus dans le cadre de son mandat. Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) doit identifier de manière proactive les possibilités d’adaptation et d’optimisation des processus afin d’assurer une efficacité économique directement liée aux opérations. Les priorités principales du poste seront le maintien et l’amélioration de la sécurité, de la qualité et de la productivité.
Les responsabilités incluent la gestion de projets, la planification des investissements, le maintien des processus existants et le soutien aux équipes de production et de maintenance. L’Ingénieur(e) Procédés – Fabrication doit être capable de transformer les exigences en développement de produits et de procédés. Plus spécifiquement, le poste implique de développer une connaissance approfondie de notre base d’approvisionnement, des forces et faiblesses des procédures internes et des processus d’affaires, des équipements et des membres clés du personnel contribuant à la qualité des produits et services de l’organisation.
Responsabilités et attentes:
- Identifier en continu les opportunités d’amélioration en matière de sécurité, de qualité et de productivité.Gestion des projets d’investissement assignés à travers toutes les phases : initiation, planification, exécution, contrôle et clôture.Identifier les améliorations de processus de fabrication et les acquisitions de capital, incluant la communication via le cadre PMI dans le plan de projet.Préparer des analyses coûts-avantages pour permettre l’évaluation et l’approbation par la direction, et informer les parties prenantes au fur et à mesure de l’avancement des projets.Créer et maintenir des contre-mesures sécuritaires pour toutes conditions dangereuses, quasi-accidents, premiers soins et autres opportunités d’amélioration de la sécurité.Maintenir les activités NCR et d’amélioration de la qualité pour optimiser la qualité des produits et des emballages du point de vue du client, conformément aux exigences réglementaires et de conformité.Diriger la création et la mise à jour des Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA / Plan de contrôle), incluant la participation des fournisseurs.Créer des organigrammes de processus, OPL, SOP, SOS et autres documents de standardisation.S’assurer que tous les processus fonctionnent selon les principes de la fabrication allégée (cartographie de la chaîne de valeur, 5S, 3M, kanban, poka-yoke, 5Q0D, 5Why, kaizen, 5W1H, etc.).Analyser les flux de travail et proposer des recommandations pour améliorer la manutention des matériaux et l’aménagement de l’usine.Établir et maintenir des standards de travail pour le calcul des coûts de production et la mesure de la productivité.Créer des contrôles de changement relatifs aux améliorations des procédés de fabrication.
Qualifications souhaitées:
- Diplôme en génie, B. Ing. mécanique ou équivalent.Capacité avérée à créer et exécuter des plans de projet atteignant les objectifs définis.Expérience démontrée à travailler au sein d’équipes diversifiées pour atteindre des objectifs communs, en faisant preuve d’optimisme pour faire avancer les activités.Expérience en résolution de problèmes et analyse des causes profondes.Connaissance de Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint et Excel pour la manipulation de données – en pratique ou compréhension des capacités – un atout.Expérience comme ingénieur procédés ou fabrication dans un environnement manufacturier à haut volume – un atout.Expertise en techniques PFMEA, méthodes de fabrication allégée, structures PMBOK/PMI ou contrôle qualité – des atouts.
