The Senior Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, seamless payroll execution, and high-quality client service delivery. You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities while also handling payroll for a significant employee base, contributing directly to the financial reliability of client operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, autonomy, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Working remotely, you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll administration across multiple client accounts while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple small and medium-sized business clients, ensuring accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Process end-to-end payroll for 50+ employees, including calculations, adjustments, and timely payroll execution
- Maintain and update financial data using accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Excel
- Prepare financial reports and support clients with accurate and timely accounting insights
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and internal financial procedures
- Communicate with clients to resolve accounting and payroll-related inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities as required
The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping and payroll experience, excellent technical accounting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll administration for multiple clients or businesses
- Proven experience processing payroll for 50+ employees
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office tools
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with a client-service mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Experience in an outsourced accounting or multi-client environment is an asset
