Contracts Negotiator, Global Transactions

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Contracts Negotiator, Global Transactions based in the United States.

This remote role sits within a Legal & Compliance function and focuses on managing high-volume commercial contracting across global revenue transactions. You will review, draft, negotiate, and administer a broad range of agreements while helping business teams navigate contractual risks and achieve commercial objectives. The role offers significant exposure to complex transactions spanning professional services, SaaS, software, data protection, government contracts, partnerships, and procurement. You will serve as a key point of contact during negotiations and collaborate closely with legal and business stakeholders. The position also provides an opportunity to improve contracting policies, processes, templates, and risk-management practices. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced contracts professional who combines strong commercial judgment with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Accountabilities:
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume of commercial contracts supporting global revenue transactions, in accordance with established policies, guidelines, templates, and risk parameters.
  • Negotiate a broad range of agreements, including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Order Forms, NDAs, Subcontractor Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Professional Services Agreements, SaaS and software license agreements, Data Processing Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, Channel and Reseller Agreements, government contracts and task orders, and vendor and procurement agreements.
  • Provide legal and contracting support to teams responsible for revenue and procurement transactions, helping stakeholders move agreements efficiently from initial review through execution.
  • Serve as a primary organizational contact during contract negotiations and provide practical guidance to internal business partners throughout the negotiation, administration, and contract management processes.
  • Recommend negotiation strategies and techniques that balance commercial objectives with legal, operational, and business risks.
  • Review agreements and related documentation to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of contracting policies, guidelines, templates, processes, and exceptions.
  • Support legal and compliance projects, including maintaining and updating internal and external contract templates and related legal forms.
  • Monitor and triage the legal inbox, route requests to the appropriate team members, and respond to routine contracting and legal inquiries.
  • Manage multiple contracts, projects, and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining clear, effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor emerging trends, regulatory developments, and best practices related to contracting, legal, cybersecurity, and business risks.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to develop practical concepts, standards, techniques, and solutions for complex contracting matters.
  • Work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise sound judgment when addressing business and legal requirements.
  • Support training and guidance for business colleagues and internal teams on contract management processes and best practices.
  • Assist with risk management and litigation-related initiatives when required.
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a contracts professional managing a high volume of commercial agreements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.
  • A Master’s degree or Juris Doctor may substitute for up to two years of required experience.
  • Strong interest in commercial transactions and the cybersecurity or technology industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Box, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Ironclad or other contract lifecycle management platforms, and AI-powered tools such as GC AI and Glean.
  • Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain consistent and appropriate language across similar agreements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across legal, commercial, and business teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, combined with sound professional and business judgment.
  • Ability to evaluate contractual risks, develop practical mitigation strategies, and support business objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proactive, independent, and accountable approach to both daily responsibilities and longer-term initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively while also taking ownership of assigned work.
  • Positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to support the broader needs of the Legal & Compliance function.
  • Familiarity with the Ironclad contract lifecycle management platform is preferred but not required.
Benefits:
  • Estimated annual salary range of $63,000–$105,000, with the final offer determined by factors including education, geographic location, training, licensure, certifications, and relevant experience.
