Graphic Artist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Graphic Artist based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to create high-impact visual communications supporting important national security and critical civilian missions.
You will lead creative design projects spanning branding, digital experiences, technical materials, briefings, reports, and corporate communications.
A key part of the role is translating complex technical and engineering information into clear, polished, and engaging visual products.
You will collaborate closely with marketing, web development, leadership, and other stakeholders to deliver effective visual solutions.
The position combines hands-on design expertise with opportunities to mentor junior designers and uphold consistent quality standards.
You will work in a remote environment that values creativity, adaptability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The role is well suited to an experienced designer who can balance creative thinking with technical precision and mission-focused communication.

Accountabilities
  • Lead creative design projects and develop high-impact visuals for branding, digital experiences, corporate communications, and mission-related deliverables.
  • Create professional technical graphics, diagrams, illustrations, presentations, and visual layouts for plans, reports, briefings, training materials, and other communications.
  • Translate complex engineering and technical information into clear, visually compelling products that are easy for varied audiences to understand.
  • Ensure visual deliverables consistently meet applicable government and corporate presentation standards, quality expectations, and communication objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, web development, leadership, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective design solutions.
  • Manage multiple creative assignments while maintaining quality, consistency, accuracy, and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor and support junior designers, sharing design expertise and helping maintain high standards across creative deliverables.
  • Stay informed about emerging design trends, technologies, software, and industry best practices to continuously improve creative capabilities.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and visual approaches that strengthen communications and effectively support organizational and mission objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Typically 6–8 years of professional design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create professional technical graphics, diagrams, illustrations, layouts, presentations, and other visual communication materials.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex technical or engineering information and transform it into accurate, understandable visual products.
  • Experience developing materials that adhere to government, corporate, or other formal presentation and branding standards.
  • Strong creative judgment, attention to detail, visual communication skills, and ability to maintain consistency across multiple deliverables.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, leadership, and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative projects and mentor less-experienced designers.
  • Strong awareness of current design trends and emerging creative technologies and tools.
  • Adobe-related professional certifications, such as Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design or Adobe Certified Professional in Graphic Design and Illustration, are preferred.
  • Active Secret security clearance is required to start.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with strong organization, communication, and self-management skills.
