Elevate Your Surgical Career with IBI ClinicIBI Clinic is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled Surgical Technician to join our team on an as-needed basis, supporting our growing surgical operations across Tampa, Hudson, and future Florida locations.
Note: Team member will be expected to travel between locations

What We’re Looking ForCertified Surgical Technologist
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with current certification.
Surgical Experience
- Hands-on experience with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and surgical procedures.
- ASC or outpatient surgical experience is strongly preferred.
BLS or ACLS Certification
- Current BLS or ACLS certification required.
Strong Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of surgical instrumentation, medical terminology, sterile technique, and operating room protocols.
Anticipation & Problem Solving
- Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team.
- Able to quickly identify and resolve issues involving surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Team-Oriented Mindset
- Works effectively alongside surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the clinical team.
Patient-First Approach
- Committed to creating a safe, professional, respectful, and patient-centered surgical environment.
Organization & Efficiency
- Able to stay ahead of case requirements, maintain an organized surgical field, and support efficient case turnover.
Leadership & Growth
- Willing to share knowledge, support training, and develop proficiency across multiple surgical modalities.
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to support safe, effective, and efficient patient care.
- Prepare the operating suite, surgical field, instruments, supplies, and equipment before each procedure.
- Maintain strict sterile technique and follow established infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team throughout each procedure.
- Ensure required instrumentation and supplies are available and properly functioning.
- Troubleshoot surgical instruments and equipment when necessary.
- Support efficient room setup, case flow, turnover, and preparation for subsequent procedures.
- Develop proficiency in progressively complex surgical cases and procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and ordering of surgical supplies within the ASC and perioperative areas.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, surgical quality, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with applicable policies, procedures, safety standards, and clinical best practices.
As Needed Basis
- Typically 2 to 4 surgery days per week, based on surgical volume and coverage needs
- Surgery days may fall Monday through Thursday
- Day shift, generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No routine night or weekend schedule
- Scheduling is based on operational needs and does not guarantee a minimum number of hours or shifts
