Overview
The Angiography Scheduling Coordinator will be proven to have he ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. They should be highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for responding to phone calls and relaying relevant information to staff.
- Schedules inpatients and outpatients appropriately and arranges transportation as needed.
- Communicates with other departments about patient care and information.
- Fax, powershare images, make CD's, replenish fax machines & printers.
- Escort patients to and from waiting room/Outpatient areas.
- Input on-call schedule in Web Exchange monthly and input any updates.
- Receive supplies & scans into the system.
- Input patient names in Spacetracks for Technologists.
- Transport inpatients when necessary.
- Inform Dialysis Center when patients are a "No Show".
- Follow-up with outpatient to see if IR patients have arrived.
- Enter patient's names on Status Board for the following day.
- Stock consent forms and keep them current.
- Follow-up with RN for inpatient orders to provide pertinent information to IR providers.
- Coordinate in-services for staff.
Qualifications
- High School graduate, some college preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months prior medical office experience.
- Maintains certification in BLS.
- Personal computer skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Display critical thinking and decision-making skills
