Aerospace Weld Inspector in Clifton Springs, New York at GW Lisk Company Inc

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Weld Inspector to support our aerospace manufacturing and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and willingness to uphold industry weld standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welded aerospace components.

· Verify conformance to internal weld schedules.

· Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and weld symbols to verify conformance.

· Document inspection results on weld forms as well as electronic test plan.

· Verify adherence to industry standards such as AWS D17.1, ASME, or Nadcap requirements.

Required Qualifications

· Ability to use Microscope and other visual enhancement equipment for prolonged periods of time.

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school or associate degree preferred.

· Ability to use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges

· Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Nadcap weld audit requirements.

· Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems.

· Knowledge of ERP systems infor Syteline

· Prior weld experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.

Compensation: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience, Full-Time 1st & 2nd shifts, 2nd shift has a 15% shift differential
