This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Occupational Health Services based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical occupational health operations and help ensure the delivery of accurate, compliant, and high-quality screening services. You will oversee operational strategies, team performance, vendor partnerships, and compliance initiatives within a fast-paced environment. Accountabilities:

The Manager, Occupational Health Services will oversee the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of occupational health and drug screening operations. This role requires strong leadership, compliance expertise, and the ability to optimize processes while maintaining exceptional service standards.

  • Lead and optimize all aspects of occupational health and drug screening operations, including team performance and vendor management.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational strategies to ensure efficiency and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members while fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Oversee the accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of occupational health services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding needs and ensuring service expectations are exceeded.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including turnaround times, accuracy, service quality, and customer satisfaction, to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage department resources and budgets while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to occupational health and drug screening.
  • Ensure strong documentation practices, data integrity, and audit readiness across operational processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective vendor relationships, including contract management, pricing discussions, and performance monitoring.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader with a strong background in compliance-driven environments, team management, and occupational health services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Laboratory Science, Business Management, or a related field; equivalent leadership experience considered.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing healthcare, screening, laboratory, or compliance-focused operations.
  • Proven experience improving operational processes and delivering quality improvements in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of drug screening regulations, industry standards, and federal/state compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with the confidence to work with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Experience using industry-related software, databases, and operational systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational execution skills.
