Join a team where continuity of care isn’t just a goal—it’s how we work. At Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital’s Inpatient Department, we’re building something special: a high-performing, close-knit therapy team that puts patients first and supports one another every step of the way.
Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is a small community hospital that does big things to help people. Our two hospital units specialize in caring for medically complex patients with a similar acuity to a medical surgical or telemetry unit. Essential Responsibilities:
Assess and implement appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis and status and in accordance of the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics.
Completes documentation (e.g., daily flow sheets, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries and statistics) on a timely basis. Completes letters of justification for Durable Medical Equipment.
Delegate appropriate duties to therapy aides and supportive personnel.
. Coordinate and organize a full treatment caseload.
Attends and reports at rehabilitation team conferences (RTC), treating team conferences (TTC), and family team conferences (FTC).
. Seek to provide or enhance staff, patient and family education through continuing education courses/seminars and review of current relevant literature
Non-Essential Functions:
Assist with continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities as designated by supervisor.
Actively seek and be responsible to participate and /or coordinate activities related to department and
program development and refinement of public relations and community information programs.
Supervise affiliating students and participate in research if appropriate.
Insure safety/maintenance of equipment and work areas.
