Data Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Engineer based in United States.

This role focuses on building reliable, scalable data solutions that support data-driven applications and business operations. You will design and maintain data warehouse solutions while developing efficient processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data across systems. Working with SQL, MySQL, Vertica, Python, and Airflow, you will contribute to robust data pipelines and automated workflows. The position combines data engineering expertise with software development and workflow orchestration. You will help improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of data processing across a complex technology environment. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates working from anywhere in the United States.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable data warehouse solutions using SQL, MySQL, and Vertica.
  • Develop complex queries and procedures to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Build and maintain reliable ETL pipelines that move and transform data across multiple systems.
  • Use Python to develop data-driven applications, automate recurring tasks, and enhance data processing workflows.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Airflow-based pipelines to orchestrate data workflows across different systems.
  • Optimize data processing workflows and warehouse solutions for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support data requirements and deliver effective data engineering solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong experience with SQL, MySQL, and Vertica, including designing and maintaining scalable data warehouse solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop complex queries and procedures for ETL and data transformation processes.
  • Strong Python skills, particularly for data-driven application development, automation, and workflow enhancement.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to build reliable, scalable data solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment and collaborate with distributed technical teams.

Benefits:

  • Annual base salary range of USD $104,500 – $174,200.
