Summary:

As the Intern – Test Automation Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of automated test systems used in NAI production. You will gain hands-on experience with both hardware and software elements of automated testing and production support.

This Internship is for Summer 2027.

Requirements:
  • Assist in designing, building, and configuring automated test setups.
  • Support the maintenance and operation of automated testing tools and systems.
  • Document test-system configurations, build procedures, and related technical information.
  • Identify, document, and track software or hardware issues encountered during testing.
  • Support automated testing tools and frameworks that improve testing efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineers on root cause analysis and continuous improvement of test systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of electronics, circuits, or embedded systems.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with general-purpose electronic test equipment.
  • Communicate effectively and apply analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Possess coursework, project, or prior experience with Python, Java, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Demonstrate exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks such as Jenkins or PyTest.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
  • Demonstrate an interest in test-system design, automation, and production support.

Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.

This is a paid Internship. Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
