Job Description

Description:

The Kind of Person We're Looking For

We're not looking for a title, we're looking for someone who already acts like this is their shift to run. Someone who takes pride in the work, keeps their head when things break at 4 AM, and would rather build up the mechanic next to them than keep the good tricks to themselves. Someone plant leadership can call, production can trust, and the rest of the shift can learn from.

If that's you, come lead the line with us.

At Pretzilla, the ovens don't stop, and neither does the equipment that keeps them running. We're looking for someone who's done the 3 AM troubleshooting, taught someone else how to do it too, and is ready to be the person the whole shift leans on. You don't just fix it. You know why it broke, you make the call on what happens next, and you make sure the mechanic next to you knows it too.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll be the first call when equipment goes down on 3rd shift, and the one deciding what gets fixed first and who fixes it. You'll still be hands on, wiring 3 phase motors and VFDs, chasing down hydraulic and pneumatic issues, and handling the repairs nobody else on the shift has cracked yet. You'll keep the PM schedule on track, keep the CMMS clean, and make sure shift pass downs actually tell the next crew what they need to know. And when something keeps breaking, you're the one who digs into why and gets it fixed for good, then teaches the rest of the team what you found.

What You Bring

Real industrial maintenance experience, enough that you've already been the person others ask for help. Comfort assigning and prioritizing work when three things break at once. Confidence with a multimeter, 3 phase motors, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and enough patience to explain any of it to someone still learning. The ability to read a schematic, make a call under pressure, and stand behind it. Your own tools and toolbox, because leading from the parts room doesn't fix anything.

Requirements:

Bonus Points

Food manufacturing experience. Time around gas fired ovens, scales, baggers, metal detectors, mixers, or conveyors. Any time spent formally or informally leading a shift, a crew, or a team of mechanics.
