Job Description

Description:

The Kind of Person We're Looking For

We're not just filling a slot. We want someone who takes pride in the work, keeps a good attitude when the pressure's on, and isn't afraid to say "I don't know that one, walk me through it." Someone who'll teach a newer mechanic something they picked up the hard way, and isn't territorial about knowledge. We build our team the same way we build our pretzels: with the right ingredients, some patience, and people who care whether it turns out right.

If that sounds like you, come keep the line rolling with us.

If it's got gears, guts, or grease, we want to talk to you.

At Pretzilla, the ovens don't stop and neither does the equipment that keeps them running. We're looking for a maintenance mechanic who doesn't flinch when something breaks down at 3 AM. You hear a weird noise, you go find it. You pull it apart, you figure out what's wrong, and you put it back together better than you found it. That's the job. That's the whole job.

The Shift

Third shift is its own world here: quieter floor, more ownership, and a crew that respects someone who can solve a problem without waiting for daylight. You'll work a 2 2 3 rotation (36 hours one week, 48 the next) with every other weekend off, which means real time off that actually lines up with a weekend.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll troubleshoot and repair the equipment that keeps dough moving, ovens baking, and pretzels packed, everything from 3 phase motors and VFDs to hydraulics, pneumatics, and the electrical guts of it all. You'll run preventive maintenance before things fail instead of just reacting after they do, log your work in our CMMS, and hand off clean, clear notes to the next shift so nobody's left guessing. And when something keeps breaking, you're the one who says "here's why" and helps us actually fix it for good, not just patch it again.

Requirements:

Bonus Points

Food manufacturing experience. Time spent around gas fired ovens, scales, baggers, metal detectors, mixers, or conveyors. If you've kept industrial production equipment alive before, you already speak our language.
