CUSTODIAL STAFF in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania at Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens is seeking a part-time Operational Services Associate (Custodial Staff) to play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall operational efficiency of our world-class facility. Responsibilities include:

• Performing routine cleaning tasks, sanitization, waste & recycling management
• Monitoring & replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Collaborating with and supporting other departments as assigned such as work order fulfillment
• Assisting with meeting, event, and educational class set-ups & breakdowns
• Assisting with specialized cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and floor polishing

The schedule is commonly Monday-Friday 5:00pm-10:00pm and requires working a minimum of 16 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 2+ years of custodial experience preferred but not required
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely
