Pressure Vessel Sales Engineer

Achilles is recruiting a Pressure Vessel Sales Engineer for a U.S. manufacturer of custom ASME pressure vessels and industrial process equipment. This is a technical-commercial role for someone who understands engineered equipment and can work directly with customers to turn technical requirements into viable proposals and orders. Prior sales experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are equally interested in technically strong candidates from pressure-vessel engineering, estimating, applications engineering, project engineering, or project management who are comfortable working with customers and interested in moving closer to the commercial side of the business.
What You'll DoDevelop and grow customer relationships within ASME pressure-vessel and industrial-equipment markets
Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
Technically qualify new opportunities
Help customers define scope and determine the right equipment solution
Present technical manufacturing and engineering capabilities to prospective customers
Develop technical and commercial proposals
Coordinate internally to establish pricing, scope, schedule, and proposal strategy
Follow up on active quotations and work opportunities through order placement
Maintain customer, opportunity, quote, and forecast information
Compare actual project cost against estimates to improve future quoting
Work closely with engineering, estimating, operations, and manufacturing
Attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed
Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints
Technical knowledge of industrial equipment design, materials, fabrication, or manufacturing
Ability to understand customer requirements and turn them into technically sound solutions
Strong customer communication and presentation skills
Commercial mindset and ability to develop long-term relationships
Strong ownership, problem solving, and follow-through

Previous ASME pressure-vessel experience is preferred but not mandatory for someone with strong adjacent technical experience. Previous sales experience is also preferred, not required. A two- or four-year technical degree is helpful but not required. Some customer and industry travel will be required. This position is based in Honey Brook, PA.
