As the Vice President of Clinical & Compliance, you'll provide strategic clinical leadership across Cadre Hospice, overseeing clinical quality, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and clinical excellence across the organization. You'll serve as a senior clinical and regulatory resource while helping ensure our teams have the guidance, systems, and support needed to deliver exceptional hospice care.

You'll work closely with executive leadership, Operations, and branch clinical leaders to strengthen clinical processes, maintain regulatory readiness, monitor quality and performance, and support consistent standards across our locations. You'll also have the opportunity to develop and support clinical leaders while helping shape the future of clinical excellence at Cadre.

We are looking for a highly knowledgeable hospice clinical leader who combines strong clinical judgment with regulatory expertise and a practical understanding of hospice operations. This leader should be proactive, highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable identifying risk, challenging existing practices, developing clinical leaders, and building systems that create sustainable improvement.

The right person will understand that clinical excellence and regulatory compliance are not separate priorities. Both should ultimately lead to better, safer, and more consistent care for patients and families.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight across all clinical functions of Cadre Hospice.
• Help ensure the delivery of exceptional, high-quality hospice care across the organization.
• Serve as a senior clinical resource and advisor to executive leadership.
• Partner with Operations and branch leadership to strengthen clinical consistency and accountability.
• Support clinical strategy, organizational growth, and new-market development.

• Provide oversight of clinical and regulatory compliance across the organization.
• Help ensure clinical practices align with Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Maintain organizational readiness for surveys, audits, regulatory reviews, and other external oversight.
• Monitor regulatory changes and help translate new requirements into practical processes and education.
• Provide guidance related to complaints, investigations, corrective action plans, regulatory matters, and payer audits or reviews.

• Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, and clinical standards across Cadre Hospice.
• Lead oversight of QAPI and performance improvement initiatives.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, audit findings, and performance trends.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen clinical practices and reduce organizational risk.
• Help ensure clinical services and documentation are consistent, compliant, and aligned with Cadre standards.

• Provide leadership and oversight for HOPE, hospice quality reporting, SSVI, and evolving CMS requirements.
• Oversee clinical auditing and monitoring programs.
• Use clinical data and audit findings to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
• Help ensure performance improvement efforts result in meaningful and sustainable change.

• Ensure clinical policies, procedures, standards, and workflows remain current and compliant.
• Provide clinical guidance related to hospice eligibility, documentation, plans of care, IDG processes, certifications and recertifications, levels of care, live discharges, and other high-risk clinical processes.
• Help develop practical, sustainable systems that support consistent clinical practice across locations.
• Partner with clinical and operational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Help ensure regulatory requirements are effectively translated into day-to-day clinical practice.

• Provide leadership, education, guidance, and support to Directors of Clinical Services and other clinical leaders.
• Help develop strong, confident, and accountable clinical leadership teams.
• Support clinical leaders in navigating regulatory and clinical expectations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Encourage professional development and ongoing clinical competency.

• Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on clinical and regulatory priorities.
• Provide visibility into clinical performance, compliance, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations and other departments on decisions impacting patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a trusted clinical advisor while helping ensure clinical excellence remains at the center of organizational growth.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant progressive hospice leadership experience.
• Experience with multi-site or enterprise-level clinical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation and hospice clinical practice.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, QAPI, survey readiness, quality reporting, and clinical quality programs.
• Demonstrated experience with clinical audits, regulatory surveys, performance improvement, policy development, and corrective action.
• Strong understanding of hospice operations and end-of-life care.
• Proven ability to develop clinical leaders and drive accountability across multiple locations.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
