Logistics Specialist in Sealy, Texas at HAILIANG COPPER TEXAS INC

The Logistics Specialist supports the Campus Logistics Manager in coordinating daily logistics activities across Hailiang Copper Texas. This position helps ensure the efficient movement of materials, products, and shipments while maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external transportation providers, and supporting on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight providers.

• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, bills of lading, packing lists, delivery records, and other logistics documentation.

• Track shipments and communicate delivery schedules, delays, and transportation issues to relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate with warehouse, production, customer service, and other internal departments to support material availability and timely product shipments.

• Assist with freight scheduling, carrier communication, shipment status updates, and transportation issue resolution.

• Maintain accurate shipment records, logistics reports, and tracking information.

• Assist with freight cost tracking, invoice verification, and identification of opportunities to improve logistics efficiency.

• Support inventory movement and material transfers between campus buildings, warehouses, and production areas as needed.

• Communicate with company headquarters in China and other relevant stakeholders regarding logistics activities, documentation, and shipment coordination.

• Ensure logistics activities comply with company procedures, applicable regulations, and shipping requirements.

• Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned by the Campus Logistics Manager.

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other standard business applications.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve routine operational issues.

• Ability to work collaboratively with employees across multiple departments and levels of the organization.

• English and Mandarin Chinese bilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly for communicating with company headquarters in China.

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

This position is based at Hailiang Copper Texas in Sealy, Texas, and supports logistics operations across the company's campus. The role requires regular communication with warehouse, production, and administrative personnel and may involve time in warehouse or manufacturing areas.
