Now Hiring: Staff Architect / Assistant Project Manager
Location: Springfield, MO
Join O’Reilly Hospitality Management in a unique opportunity to work directly alongside our Director of Architecture in a hands-on role supporting hospitality development projects across the United States.
This role is designed for an architecture professional who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow into future leadership opportunities within our organization. The selected candidate will support design development, project coordination, construction initiatives, and long-term departmental succession planning.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist and shadow the Director of Architecture in schematic interior and exterior design processes for hotels, restaurants, conference and convention centers, entertainment venues, landscapes, and other hospitality developments.
- Support design development through collaboration with project teams and outside consultants utilizing BIM and other design technologies.
- Assist with project management efforts for new construction and renovation projects.
- Collaborate with operations leadership and executive teams to develop innovative, efficient, and functional design solutions.
- Participate in planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist with project documentation, design presentations, and design review processes.
- Learn and support current Director of Architecture responsibilities with the intent to develop into future leadership opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of hospitality design trends, construction methods, and emerging technologies.
- Travel to project sites as required.

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:

- Proficiency in design software and building information modeling tools.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required.
- Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of architectural or related project experience preferred.
- Experience with hospitality, commercial, mixed-use, or development projects preferred.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, BIM software, or related design platforms preferred.
Hours:
Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include evenings, weekends, and travel as business needs require.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
- Light to Moderate Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to move objects.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, and travel between locations.
Physical Activity of the Position:
Activities include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, typing, talking, hearing, driving, occasional lifting, and repetitive motion.
Visual Acuity Requirements:
Must have visual acuity to prepare and review drawings, plans, construction documents, and electronic design files.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Frequent office and project-site environments.
