Job Description

VP of Brand

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP of Brand based in the United States.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially minded brand leader to shape the next chapter of a scaled, high-growth consumer business.
You will own the brand strategy and translate consumer insight, product truth, and market opportunity into compelling stories and experiences.
The role spans positioning, creative, packaging, digital, retail, content, community, partnerships, and activations.
You will build the organizational capabilities, talent, partnerships, and operating model needed to raise the creative bar while increasing speed.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will have meaningful ownership over investment priorities, campaigns, launches, and the broader brand experience.
Success will be measured through stronger brand recognition, consumer preference, cultural relevance, and meaningful commercial growth.
This is an opportunity to build a distinctive, enduring brand rather than inherit a finished one.

Accountabilities
  • Define and lead the overall brand strategy, positioning, voice, identity, messaging hierarchy, and creative standards, ensuring a distinctive and consistent expression across key customer touchpoints.
  • Translate consumer insights, product truths, competitive context, and commercial opportunities into differentiated positioning, value propositions, launch narratives, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated brand storytelling across packaging, digital creative, retail, organic content, communications, product launches, and consumer experiences.
  • Build cultural relevance and a strong consumer community through creators, influencers, partnerships, events, activations, organic social, and community-led programs.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Brand organization spanning creative, organic social, content, community, partnerships, and activations, while developing the talent and external partner ecosystem required for scale.
  • Establish clear standards and ways of working that improve creative quality, execution speed, collaboration, and consistency while reducing unnecessary rework and escalation.
  • Own the annual brand plan, marketing calendar, awareness budget, campaign priorities, and related investment decisions, balancing long-term brand building with near-term commercial objectives.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to connect brand strategy with broader business priorities and ensure campaigns and launches contribute measurably to growth.
  • Use consumer insights, performance data, and market intelligence to inform decisions while maintaining strong creative judgment and a bias toward action.
  • Build an operating model that enables the Brand function, agency network, and broader organization to scale alongside the company’s ambitions.
Requirements
  • Significant senior brand leadership experience within a high-growth consumer business, ideally in CPG, health, wellness, nutrition, performance, or a closely related category.
  • Demonstrated success building distinctive brands and leading integrated campaigns, activations, communications, and launches that generated measurable business impact.
  • Exceptional storytelling and product-positioning capabilities, with the ability to connect consumer insight, product truth, and competitive context into compelling propositions and narratives.
  • Strong creative and design judgment, with experience directing designers, writers, content teams, agencies, and other creative partners without needing to serve as the primary creator.
  • Proven experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, establishing clear expectations, raising quality standards, and improving organizational speed and effectiveness.
  • Broad omnichannel expertise spanning direct-to-consumer, retail, packaging, product launches, digital experiences, content, community, and consumer engagement.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect brand investments and marketing priorities to measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to combine data and consumer research with sound judgment, avoiding excessive analysis when decisive action is required.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders, challenge ideas constructively, and align diverse teams around a clear vision.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, founder-led environment that values ownership, candor, resourcefulness, creativity, and high standards.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary of $180,000–$235,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and local market factors.
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
  • Benefits designed to support employees’ health, wellness, and professional goals.
  • Fully remote opportunity available to candidates based in the United States.
  • Significant ownership and executive access within a scaled, high-growth consumer business.
  • Opportunity to build and lead the Brand function, including its team, agency ecosystem, and operating model.
  • Meaningful influence over brand strategy, creative direction, community building, launches, and long-term growth.
  • A fast-moving environment with the opportunity to shape a brand that is still in an important stage of development.
