We currently have an opening for a Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Clerk at our operating site in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate for this position will have proven ability to perform duties related to packaging, shipping, and receiving activities. This individual is responsible for making sure goods reach customers on time by handling through the Company’s ERP system and the issuance of bills of lading, packing slips and customs documents in accordance with customer order specifications and required shipping regulations. This position will be based in Pittsburgh, PA and will report to the Vice President, Aftermarket.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving incoming goods, managing inventories, updating ERP system, solving customer issues, and assisting with supply procurement, as necessary.
  • Coordinate material receipts of incoming goods, with timely and appropriate Epicor’s ERP transactions.
  • Conduct various inventory management activities as it applies to finished goods and raw material movement, shipment staging, and the organization of finished goods and parts. This includes (but is not limited to): cycle counting (daily and monthly); finished goods and raw material movement and processing.
  • Execute packaging and shipping activities for product shipments.
  • Assist in establishing work instructions and procedures in preparation of an ISO certification readiness.
  • Assist with resolving customer issues as it relates to shipments and receipt of Process Insights products, including carrier tracking.
  • Ensure appropriate use of the ERP system and eventually develop expertise to support the creation and implementation of evolving ERP practices.
  • Applies equal amounts of skills and dedication to all other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

  • Minimum of five years of “hands-on” experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes, in order to be able to effectively optimize processes and documents accordingly.
  • Understanding of supply chain activities.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 (ideally the 2015 standard) is preferred.
  • Professionalism, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend engineering prints / assembly drawings / BOM’s.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills, a results-oriented work ethic, and ability to work alone with limited direct supervision.
  • Fiscal and financial awareness is a must. Attention to cost and expense matters.
  • Technical proficiency a must (MS Office, ERP systems, etc.).
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work with technical staff and customers with varying experience levels.
  • Willingness to assist with tasks, even when the work is out of the scope of responsibilities.
