Chief Medical Officer in Dallas, Texas at Healing Hands Ministries Inc
Job Description
We're Humanizing Healthcare
At HHM Health, our mission is to provide high quality and compassionate healthcare to all. Our vision is to be the best patient-focused health center providing personalized physical, mental, and spiritual care for every individual. We are led by our CARES Values (Compassion, Advocacy, Respect, Excellence, Servant Heart). Together, our CARES-givers are making a difference in Dallas and surrounding communities.
The Opportunity
HHM Health is seeking an accomplished, mission-driven Chief Medical Officer to shape clinical strategy and elevate care across our community health center. Reporting to the President & CEO and serving as a key member of the executive team, the CMO will be the organization’s senior medical authority—uniting providers around exceptional outcomes, patient experience, regulatory excellence, and responsible growth.
This is an opportunity for a physician executive who pairs clinical credibility with enterprise leadership and believes every patient deserves accessible, high-quality, compassionate care. The CMO will lead the daily clinical functions of HHM Health and translate our mission and vision into consistent, measurable practice. The CMO will establish standards of care, strengthen integrated primary care, guide clinical policy, develop provider leaders, and ensure that resources are used effectively to support productivity, service excellence, and patient satisfaction.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Set the clinical vision. Partner with the President & CEO and executive team to establish clinical objectives and identify responsible opportunities for growth.
- Advance quality and outcomes. Establish performance benchmarks; lead quality assurance, quality improvement, peer review, chart audit, and patient-satisfaction initiatives; and act on emerging trends.
- Lead exceptional care delivery. Direct daily clinical operations, strengthen integrated primary care, ensure appropriate clinician coverage, and oversee specialty panels and referrals.
- Build a high-performing provider organization. Lead physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical directors, behavioral health leadership, and other clinical professionals through recruitment, coaching, credentialing, privileging, proctoring, and development.
- Promote performance and accountability. Oversee utilization review, provider productivity, clinical outcomes, and practice-management measures while reinforcing patient-centered service.
- Ensure clinical and regulatory excellence. Maintain compliance with federal and state requirements, FQHC program standards, accreditation expectations, professional requirements, and organizational policies.
- Steward resources responsibly. Contribute to department budgets, fee schedules, staffing models, and operational planning that support outstanding patient care.
- Represent HHM Health. Serve as a trusted liaison with professional societies, health officials, community partners, external organizations, and health institutions.
The Leader Who Will Thrive
You are a decisive, collaborative physician leader who can move comfortably from the exam room to the executive table. You build consensus without losing momentum, communicate complex information clearly, coach teams through change, and handle sensitive matters with sound judgment and discretion. You are organized, adaptable, attentive to detail, and energized by a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Most importantly, you lead with empathy and accountability—creating the conditions for providers to succeed and for patients to experience excellent, respectful care.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with board certification, preferably as an Internal or Family/Adult Medicine specialty.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas.
- Current DEA, DPS, and other credentials required to practice legally in Texas.
- Continuing medical education consistent with board-specialty requirements.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience. Leadership in community health or FQHC environment is a plus.
- Experience in utilization review, quality management, and physician practice management.
- Knowledge of public-health challenges and the social and economic factors affecting access to primary care is helpful.
- Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills.
- Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact
