Outpatient Counselor (LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC) Requirements

• Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of master’s degree in human services or behavioral healthcare field with one (1) year counseling experience in the field of chemical dependency, mental health or adolescent treatment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral healthcare field with two (2) years' experience in the field of chemical dependency, mental health or adolescent treatment required.
• Valid State of Ohio LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW licensure with two (2) years of paid full-time experience in the field of chemical dependency, mental health or adolescent treatment, or equivalent required.

Our location in Marysville, Ohio is looking for an Outpatient Counselor with a valid State of Ohio LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC licensure. This would be an in-person position, and the hours are Monday through Friday 9am-5pm, with 2 of those days until 7pm to provide availability for our clients. The Outpatient Counselor will be responsible for substance use and mental health counseling, case management and treatment planning for youth, adults and families who have been referred to Maryhaven for treatment in the outpatient setting. Additional responsibilities include creating, safeguarding, and maintaining documentation necessary for professional services. They must ensure documentation accurately reflects client progress and services provided and properly note any amendments. Refer clients to other services within Maryhaven as appropriate. Assessment and diagnosis including assessing clients' mental health status, including history, behaviors, and emotions, to accurately identify any mental health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans. Participation in weekly group supervision and participation in other mandatory Maryhaven training courses.
