Medical Coordinator at Chicanos Por La Causa – Los Fresnos, Texas

This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting youth in care, while collaborating with medical providers and program teams.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT? As the Medical Coordinator, you provide direct nursing care and ensure medical compliance for youth in our program. You will:

Complete nursing assessments and intake screenings

Respond to medical needs and emergencies using established protocols

Manage medication administration & SAOM

Schedule and track medical, dental, and specialty appointments

Support medical providers during exams

Maintain accurate EMR documentation per CPLC & ORR standards

Educate youth on health, prevention, and treatment

Train staff on basic medical procedures and protocols

WHO YOU ARE? A mission-driven nursing professional with:

Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills

Excellent communication (English & Spanish)

Attention to detail and strong documentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education/Background

Current state LPN/LVN license in good standing with completion of a state-approved practical nursing program or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Graduate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) with completion of an accredited nursing program Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital, clinic, or a health care setting.
