This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting youth in care, while collaborating with medical providers and program teams.
Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. Founded in 1967 and incorporated in 1969, CPLC empowers individuals through health & human services, housing, education, and economic development.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT?
As the Medical Coordinator, you provide direct nursing care and ensure medical compliance for youth in our program. You will:
Complete nursing assessments and intake screenings
Respond to medical needs and emergencies using established protocols
Manage medication administration & SAOM
Schedule and track medical, dental, and specialty appointments
Support medical providers during exams
Maintain accurate EMR documentation per CPLC & ORR standards
Educate youth on health, prevention, and treatment
Train staff on basic medical procedures and protocols

Current state LPN/LVN license in good standing with completion of a state-approved practical nursing program or
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Graduate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) with completion of an accredited nursing program
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital, clinic, or a health care setting.
