Paint Line Production Worker at Beaver Steel Services Inc – Carnegie, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Production Worker (Paint Line)

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Normal Shift / Working Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. Overtime and weekends will be required as deemed necessary by departmental needs.

Job Summary: The production worker position performs all tasks involved in the production of the paint line products. This includes paint line operations and packing. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor.
• Clips, hooks or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
• Track production on schedule boards.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Place finished goods on the designated pallet.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a normal production environment.

Experience:

• Previous production experience.
• Powder coating or wet paint experience.
• Powered industrial forklift operator experience

· High school diploma or GED.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
