About This Position

River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for a dedicated Family Practice Physician committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to in a community health clinic in Delta Colorado.

In this role, you will deliver primary care services to individuals and families across all age groups, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute conditions. A day in the life of a Physician includes:

  • Providing direct patient care by assessing patient health, performing physical examinations, obtaining health histories, and developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Performing therapeutic procedures by administering injection, suturing, casting, splinting, removal of foreign bodies, managing wounds and infections, etc.
  • Provide patient education at time of service, including anticipatory guidance, information about chronic care, disease prevention, and the promotion of health maintenance.
  • Collaborates with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and Dental Providers to encourage integrated health.

Compensation and Benefits

    $200,000.00 - $231.160.00 per year, depending on experience and certifications

Qualifications

  • Unrestricted and current Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine license in the State of Colorado, and DEA registration.
  • 5+ years of related experience preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred.
  • Ability to travel between clinics as needed.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others.
  • Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with individuals and groups of diverse racial, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
  • Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks.
  • A caring, kind, and professional bedside manner.
  • Ability to be a team player and to support and assist team members as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are exposed to blood, body fluids, and other occupational hazards, and are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
