About This Position

Reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition. Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating talent acquisition activities. The talent acquisition activities performed include sourcing, keeping applicant tracking information updated, developing and placing advertisements, attending job fairs, ensuring all appropriate testing and compliance requirements are completed. Also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with co-workers, managers, college contacts, employment agencies, and community partners. This role is hybrid and requires onsite presence at Beacon Central Offices Tuesday - Thursday currently.

Develops and executes strategic talent acquisition initiatives by:

  • Working collaboratively with assigned hiring leaders to address staffing needs for present and future needs.
  • Keeping hiring leaders updated on requisition activity through weekly updates and quarterly rounding meetings.
  • Advising hiring leaders of total compensation, incentives, and other related items used to enhance talent acquisition.
  • Utilizing data to develop value-based and results-driven talent acquisition strategies.
  • Providing timely recruiting summaries to hiring leaders ensuring effective communication regarding all aspects of talent acquisition operations.
  • Keeping hiring manager and TA director informed of sensitive and critical talent acquisition needs/issues.
  • Building working relationships and maintaining contact with high schools, colleges, employment and minority referral agencies, local and state program agencies.
  • Partnering and collaborating to optimize processes and continually improve candidate experience throughout the hiring life cycle.
  • Serving as a brand ambassador in the marketplace by supporting and optimizing the system's talent acquisition branding strategy to effectively attract top talent by building awareness and promoting recruiting efforts.
  • Ensuring hiring leaders comply and follow guidance regarding Beacon's hiring process.
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, and legalities surrounding Federal and State employment law.
  • Providing instruction and guidance to new hires regarding the onboarding requirements, and ensuring proper processing of all documents according to Joint Commission standards.

Performs talent acquisition processes on a real time basis through utilization of Beacon's Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) by:

  • Utilizing and maintaining applicant tracking system to ensure effective communication regarding all aspects of the application, interview and hiring process with candidates and hiring leaders.
  • Reviewing and processing resumes, applications and requisitions on a daily basis.
  • Assisting managers in the selection process by prescreening internal/external candidates.
  • Ensuring the appropriate assessment is completed prior to interview (Staff or Leadership).
  • Keeping candidates informed of their status throughout the talent acquisition process.
  • Notifying internal/external candidates on a timely basis of the selection decisions, including those not receiving employment offers.
  • Ensuring the internal job bidding process for bargaining unit positions are being followed by assisting managers with the appropriate priority in which bidders should be considered.
  • Maintaining all related HR hiring and onboarding records.
  • Conducting or insuring primary source validation for all licenses, certifications and registrations that are required per the job description.
  • Remaining informed on Human Resources policies, practices and procedures to integrate in the employment process.
  • Making all formal offers of employment, informing applicants of pay rates, benefits and other aspects of the job being considered.
  • Routinely offers and is competent with additional incentives such as: Loan Repayment, Relocation Assistance, and Sign-On bonuses.

Initiates internal and external sourcing efforts to ensure a supply of qualified candidates by:

  • Coordinating external talent acquisition, for positions not filled through the job posting procedure, to attract qualified applicants through the development of ads, web sites, journals, direct mailings, etc.
  • Maintaining a pool of pre-screened candidates for positions where appropriate.
  • Evaluating and assessing candidate qualifications by prescreening external candidates prior to scheduling an interview with the manager.
  • Processing internal hires for transferring to other departments.
  • Developing and managing a robust pipeline of potential candidates utilizing passive search techniques, proactive market analysis, artificial intelligence recruiting efforts, data insights, and ongoing relationship management.

Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:

  • Participating in departmental project work focused on delivering efficiencies and innovations to drive the Talent Acquisition operation function forward.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of changing industry trends through completion of continuing education and self-study.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

  • Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
  • Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
  • Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
  • Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
  • Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
  • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
  • Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
  • Complies with established organization and department policies.
  • Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through successful completion of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with 1 to 3 years of talent acquisition experience desired or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrates and possess a comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, related employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrates customer service-oriented interpersonal and analytical human resources skills with a sense of urgency toward hiring leader's talent acquisition needs.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, to make effective presentations, and to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external contacts. Also requires the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills (i.e. data entry, word processing, spreadsheets and database applications).
  • Demonstrates professional attitude and goal-oriented work ethic, with the ability to function independently as well as in a team environment.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with some daytime travel for recruiting events.

Physical Demands

  • Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
