Job Title: Parts Coordinator Effective Date: 05AUG2026

Department: Operations

Reports to: Custom Equipment Superintendent

Location: 4 Sunshine Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174

Work Schedule: Full time, in a production environment

Job Overview:

Primary duty (70%) is to coordinate the flow of parts and materials to support production, including receiving, staging, kitting, and tracking components against engineering drawings and bills of material. Approximately 30% of this role's time is spent directly supporting the Custom Equipment side of the business, where mechanical aptitude is required to verify parts against custom drawings, assist with fit checks, and resolve discrepancies on the floor.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Receive, inspect, and stage parts and materials coming into the department against purchase orders, bills of material, and engineering drawings,
  • Kit parts for work orders across Custom Equipment lines, ensuring completeness prior to release to Production.,
  • Track open purchase orders and proactively communicate with Purchasing and vendors regarding delivery status, shortages, and lead-time risks.,
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts, cycle counts, and stockroom organization within the ERP system.,
  • Spend approximately 30% of time directly supporting Custom Equipment production, verifying that parts match custom drawings and specifications, assisting with fit-up and minor mechanical assembly, and resolving part discrepancies alongside the floor team,.
  • Coordinate with the Custom Equipment Superintendent and Engineering on part substitutions, non-conformances, and expedited needs.,
  • Operate hand and power tools as required to support fit checks, minor assembly, and issue resolution.,
  • Confer with Supervisor about variances.,
  • Actively participate in the build and assembly process to support area supervisor and departmental goals.,
  • Participate in Quality and Safety functions pertaining to Production.,
  • Other reasonably related duties.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional manner.,
  • Mechanically inclined, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of material.,
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.,
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities simultaneously.,
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy and tracking open orders within an ERP/MRP system.,
  • Good oral and written communication skills, comfortable coordinating across Purchasing, Engineering, and Production.,
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly.,
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.,
  • Detail and quality-results oriented, with strong follow-through on open items.,
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.,
  • Ability to use and read measuring instruments accurately in both U.S. Standard and Metric.,
  • Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment.,
  • Reliable transportation to work.,
  • Ability to complete tasks working with others and independently.,
  • Work overtime as required.,
  • Physical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing and pulling between 25-50 pounds; crouching; bending; twisting; kneeling; squatting; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing; holding, grasping and manipulating small objects; hand/eye coordination; use safety ladder; climbing; tolerate varying ranges of temperature in a Shop environment.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience in materials, parts coordination, or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.,
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.,
  • Experience supporting custom or low-volume equipment manufacturing.,
  • Active Driver's License.

Education and Experience:

  • High School/GED required; Associate's degree in a technical or supply chain field a plus.,
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in materials, parts coordination, or manufacturing support.

Supervision Required: Medium — Ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks on schedule.
