Previous food service experience preferred. Must be comfortable in a hospital setting and be able to read, write and speak English.
- Team Leader- Food Services
Position Summary: Oversees the food service process. Guides and instructs team members to ensure proper handling of food, safety and customer satisfaction.
Primary Customers: Patients and their families, hospital cafeteria patrons and the community and all other team members.

Position Performance Area/Expectations:
Leadership
- Encourages others to identify problems and solutions; acts as a role model in problem solving.
- Ensures maximum utilization of staff assigned on a daily basis by flexing staff as needed throughout the day.
- Promotes growth and development of team members and helps to remove obstacles.
- Provides input in staff performance.
- Orders food and nonfood supplies as instructed.
- Inventories food and nonfood supplies weekly as instructed.
Sanitation
- Assures proper sanitation procedures are followed.
- Assures all dishes are clean and put away.
- Assures all kitchen and cafe areas are clean and organized.
- Follows HACCP training.
Patient Services
- Assures room service program standards are maintained.
- Provides assistance when needed.
- Assures coolers are stocked for the pm. Shift
- Assures 180 trays for pm shift
Quality Control
- Maintains all departmental quality control logs, cleaning assignments and all paperwork are done, filed and properly reviewed.
- Participates in writing and reviewing of policies and procedures
- Resolves day-to-day patient/family problems and refers unresolved issues to the proper manager in a timely manner.
