Position Summary
Works with Kitchen Supervisor, Head Cook and Managers in production kitchen, then in schools being served, to ensure efficient production, transport and serving of food at satellite locations. Keeps Hot Food Hot/ Cold Food Cold during entire process. Follows all food safety guidelines and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport, deploy, and retrieve food, specialized promotional equipment, pop-up carts, and program machinery to and from satellite locations according to established rotation schedules
- Coordinate directly with unit managers to align on exact pickup and drop-off schedules
- Maintain absolute punctuality and professionalism to ensure seamless transitions between production, delivery, and service times.
- Maintain and adhere to dynamic delivery calendars, coordinating closely with management and site leaders to execute precise, timely route schedules.
- Verify that transported quantities meet daily account demands.
- Maintain truck mileage logs, coordinate vehicle maintenance needs, and ensure the overall cleanliness of transport equipment and vehicles.
- Collaborate with the supervisor and culinary team to assist in preparing all foods, fresh fruits, and ingredients.
- Accurately expand or divide standardized recipes to achieve proper yields.
- Follow all company policies, local, state, federal, and HACCP guidelines for proper food handling, temperature control, and safety throughout preparation and transit.
- Maintain the overall sanitation of the production kitchen, service lines, and equipment, serving as a role model for cleanliness and safety standards.
- Provide hands-on assistance to field operations during peak periods—including serving at foodservice accounts during meal services to master day-to-day food service workflows and account protocols.
- Maintain open, effective communication with management and staff across production and service teams
- Follow all Quest policies and food safety guidelines.
- Report to scheduled shift on time and in complete uniform.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Specifications
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service industry
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 3 years as well as ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic as well as to understand measurements and conversion
- Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Handler certification)

- Exposure to odors, noise, heat, steam, in/out walk-in freezer, cleaning chemicals and detergent
- Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding, knife skills)
