Job Description
The Kids Zone Team Member is responsible for the safety and entertainment of guest and employee’s children on a daily basis in a kid-oriented, professional and energetic manner. Hours needed are: Consistent availability for 8A-12P Monday-Friday. Weekend availability preferred.
NOTE: Because this position will involve routine interaction with children, all candidates must successfully obtain the following clearances PRIOR to beginning employment:
- PA State Police criminal history record,
- PA Child Abuse Clearance, and
- FBI Fingerprint-based criminal history clearance.

Essential Job Functions
- Greet and welcome parents and children in a warm, friendly, and timely manner
- Engage children in a variety of fun and thoughtful activities
- Enforce all rules of the child care area in a consistent manner
- Maintain and monitor a safe and healthy environment for children to play
- Interact both verbally and hands-on with kids during activities
- Lead children through a variety of arts and crafts on specific days
- Ensure children are monitored, safe, and treated fairly at all times
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance: Must be dated within the past 5 years and specifically for employment (not volunteer).
- NOTE: If you do not have already these clearances, you will be provided with instructions when an offer of employment is made. Results can take up to 4-6 weeks. Both clearances must be presented before employment can begin.
- Minimum of 1 year prior experience working with children
- Current CPR/AED certification
- 18 years of age or older
- Dependable transportation to and from work
- Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality

Working Conditions
- Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds. This position will be located in a child care center.
- Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.
