Position Description:
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable IT Support Specialist to join our Service group. The service group is comprised of multiple locations in four states and growing. This role includes hands-on experience in onboarding new employees on applications, troubleshooting, technical support, and day-to-day IT operations. This position will be a full-time position reporting to the VP of Finance.
Primary Duties:
- Provide first-line IT support for end users (in person/remote)
- Triage and resolve hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals
- Manage user accounts (Microsoft 365: users, groups, SharePoint access)
- Review and respond to reported phishing emails
- Escalate complex technical issues to supervisor/vendors, as needed
Position Requirements:
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- IT-related degree or certification (preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, routers, basic troubleshooting)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and outlook
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of confidentiality in an information-sensitive employment role
- Attention to detail and quality of work performed by self and work to be assigned to project(s)
- Experience with multi-site environments
