Job Description
This is a temporary second-shift position supporting the organization’s distribution center operations. Scheduled hours are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
Your role as the Systems Administrator will be to support all aspects of LTAG’s network infrastructure operation. This position will support all aspects of the network including, but not limited to, servers, desktops, laptops, telecommunications, security, and backup systems. This role provides excellent customer service support to end users for IT-related requests. The Systems Administrator will troubleshoot issues related to routing, latency, system connectivity, and equipment failures, while supporting a fast-paced distribution center environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Application/help-desk support for a wide variety of software packages and business systems such as ERP, CRM, DMS, WMS, and PLM systems. Log issues in our tracking system, coordinate problem resolution with other working groups, and ensure appropriate communication, hand-off, and follow-through occur.
- Partner with divisional business applications teams to train end users on new reports and dashboards in the data warehouse/analytics environment, including identifying and revising reporting requirements.
- Administer and maintain servers, desktop computers, printers, switches, phones, smartphones, software deployments, security updates, and patches.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, reviewing recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior, and contacting authorities when necessary.
- Perform daily system monitoring by verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes; review system and application logs; and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Contribute to the research and evaluation of new technologies, infrastructure enhancements, and process improvements, and make recommendations accordingly.
- Monitor and evaluate network security measures to reduce risk to corporate computer resources and investigate security breaches.
- Maintain inventory of computer and IT equipment.
- Maintain and coordinate a comprehensive disaster recovery plan and conduct periodic testing. Ensure backup, recovery, and security procedures are properly implemented and maintained.
- Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an IT Helpdesk environment providing end-user support.
- Experience supporting a distribution center environment preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) strongly preferred.
- A+ Certification, Network+, Security+, and/or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of secure and compliant network processes and procedures.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
