Vitesse Systems is looking for a RF Test Technician I to join the team in Harbor City, California! The RF Test Technician supports production testing, integration, tuning, and verification activities for RF microwave components and antenna subsystems used in mission-critical communication systems.

The Role
The RF Test Technician works closely with RF Test Engineers and production teams to execute RF testing processes, document results, and support manufacturing operations in a face-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- RF Testing and Verification
- Perform tune, test, and verification of RF microwave components and antenna subsystems
- Execute RF test procedures and test plans in accordance with engineering requirements
- Support RF testing activities utilizing vector network analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other RF test equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting basic RF test discrepancies under supervision
- Verify product performance against established specifications and acceptance
- Integration and Production Support
- Integrate RF microwave components into subassemblies of antenna feed networks for testing
- Support plant production processes and manufacturing operations
- Complete manufacturing paperwork including travelers, routers, test data sheets, and work instruction signoffs
- Assist engineering and production teams with test setups and fixture preparation
- Documentation and Quality
- Document and prepare test reports for review by RF Test and Design Engineers
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and technical documentation
- Identify and report discrepancies discovered during testing activities
- Follow all applicable procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements
- Workplace and Compliance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with 5S practices
- Comply with company procedures, protocols, and industry regulations
- Support FOD prevention and general workplace organization initiatives
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Success Metrics
- On-Time completion of assigned testing and production tasks
- Accuracy and completeness of test documentation and production paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of related technical or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical blueprints (training provided for entry-level candidates)
• Basic computer skills (training provided for entry-level candidates)
• Experience with hand tools
• Familiarity with RF measurement equipment and techniques preferred
• General knowledge of RF passive and active components preferred
• Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, satellite communications, or related technical environments preferred
• Prior experience to manufacturing, machining or inspection
• Experience with FOD prevention practices preferred
• Awareness of aerospace quality standards (AS9100 or similar)Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Basic understanding of RF fundamentals and theory
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
• Positive attitude and openness to feedback and training
