Are you an administrative powerhouse with a heart for ministry and a passion for keeping things organized? We are looking for a Childcare Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of our children’s ministry.

Working directly under the Kid’s Ministry Director and collaborating closely with our Elementary and Early Childhood Coordinators, you will ensure our weekly environments run smoothly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Weekend Curriculum Bins: Organize and physically prep all weekend curriculum, craft, and activity bins for both the Elementary and Early Childhood environments.
  • Closet & Resource Management: Keep all ministry supply closets, resource rooms, and storage spaces exceptionally clean, labeled, and organized.
  • Childcare Curriculum: Prep the necessary curriculum and activities specifically for midweek childcare environments.
  • Overseeing the Childcare Team: Recruit, schedule, and lead the dedicated childcare team for evening ministry events.
  • Midweek Coverage: Oversee childcare environments on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, ensuring a safe, structured, and fun environment for the children of parents attending classes or volunteering.
  • New Family Follow-Up: Reach out to and welcome families who visited our church for the first time, helping them get plugged in.
  • Milestone & Appreciation Mailings: Coordinate and send out birthday cards to kids, as well as appreciation cards to our valued ministry partners and volunteers.
  • Communication Support: Promptly follow up on incoming emails and phone calls, serving as a helpful, welcoming first point of contact for parents.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • A vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a love for details, checklists, and clean spaces.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, hospitable phone and email presence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams (collaborating with both the EC and Elementary Coordinators).
  • Proven experience in administration, customer service, or children's ministry support.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently amidst a demanding weekly rhythm.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
