Director, AI Translation & Adoption - Data & Technology

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, AI Translation & Adoption - Data & Technology based in the Canada .

This strategic leadership role is focused on accelerating enterprise AI adoption by transforming complex artificial intelligence concepts into practical, accessible guidance for diverse business audiences.
The Director will serve as a key connection point between AI specialists and organizational stakeholders, helping teams understand, embrace, and maximize emerging technologies.
You will lead initiatives that build AI fluency, improve communication, and enable successful technology transformation across a global organization.
The role combines strategic thinking, change leadership, communication expertise, and a strong understanding of AI and generative AI capabilities.
Working with cross-functional teams, you will shape adoption strategies, educational programs, and communication frameworks that create measurable business impact.

Accountabilities:

The Director, AI Translation & Adoption will lead enterprise-wide AI adoption strategies by ensuring AI initiatives are effectively communicated, understood, and integrated across business functions. This role will oversee education, communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership activities to build organizational AI capabilities and drive successful transformation.

  • Own the enterprise AI adoption strategy, defining priorities, audiences, messaging, and engagement approaches aligned with organizational goals.
  • Translate AI and generative AI concepts, capabilities, and technical roadmaps into clear, actionable content for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage AI communication and education programs that improve awareness, understanding, and adoption across the organization.
  • Partner with organizational change management, learning and development, communications teams, and business leaders to align AI initiatives with business needs.
  • Oversee AI education initiatives including learning sessions, workshops, speaker events, role-based learning paths, and awareness programs.
  • Serve as a trusted AI subject matter resource for business teams, leadership groups, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with AI ambassadors, business representatives, and technology partners to support adoption efforts.
  • Manage incoming AI-related requests, prioritize initiatives, and ensure consistent delivery of adoption support services.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to maintain accurate, engaging, and brand-aligned AI messaging.
  • Establish adoption frameworks and leverage metrics to evaluate usage, engagement, workflow integration, and business value.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team focused on AI translation, adoption, and organizational enablement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and responsible AI usage across the enterprise.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in technology adoption, organizational transformation, communications, or related leadership roles, with the ability to bridge technical innovation and business execution.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant discipline such as technology, communications, organizational psychology, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience combining technology, communication, adoption, change management, product enablement, or organizational transformation.
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and generative AI concepts, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex technical topics while maintaining accuracy and credibility.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across presentations, briefings, educational materials, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across diverse organizational groups.
  • Experience partnering with organizational change management, learning and development, and corporate communications teams.
  • Experience defining and measuring technology adoption metrics, including user engagement, workflow integration, and business impact.
  • Strong strategic thinking, judgment, and ability to determine appropriate messaging for different audiences.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build trust across a global organization.
  • Experience leading teams within technology, communications, adoption, or organizational development functions preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, financial services, or similar environments preferred.
  • Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
