Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pay: $15.00 per hour.
Century Martial Arts is seeking a dependable, hands-on individual to join our production team as an Entry-Level Screen Printer / Screen Print Trainee.
This is a full-time training opportunity for someone interested in learning commercial screen printing and developing a specialized production skill. You will work alongside experienced screen printers while learning how to prepare screens and materials, mix inks, set up equipment, monitor print quality, and maintain an organized and safe work area.
Previous professional screen-printing experience is not required. However, successful candidates should have some relevant hands-on experience, education, training, or transferable skills that would help them succeed in a detailed production environment.

What You’ll Learn and Do- Assist with setting up and operating commercial screen-printing equipment.
- Prepare screens, inks, garments, and other materials for production.
- Measure and mix inks according to formulas and job specifications.
- Load and position products correctly for printing.
- Monitor print runs for color, clarity, alignment, and consistency.
- Inspect finished products and identify smudging, misprints, or other defects.
- Clean screens, tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Learn basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Relevant experience may come from professional work, school, training programs, personal projects, or hobbies, including:
- Screen printing, printmaking, graphic arts, or visual arts
- Commercial printing, sign production, vinyl application, embroidery, or apparel decoration
- Manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, or production work
- Painting, auto body work, woodworking, or other detail-oriented trades
- Mixing colors or materials using formulas and measurements
- Quality inspection or work involving alignment, accuracy, and color consistency
- Using hand tools, measuring tools, or mechanical equipment
You may be a strong candidate even if you have never held the title of Screen Printer.

- Ability to listen, follow instructions, and accept coaching and learn from more experienced printers
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to recognize differences in print alignment, color, clarity, and quality
- Basic math skills, including measuring and working with proportions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment setup and maintenance
- Ability to stay organized and complete tasks within production timeframes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area
One or more of the following is helpful but not required:
- Previous screen-printing, printmaking, graphic arts, or commercial printing experience
- Coursework, certification, or training in printing, art, design, manufacturing, or a skilled trade
- Manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, warehouse, or production experience
- Experience using hand tools, measuring tools, mechanical equipment, or production machinery
- Quality control or product inspection experience
- Personal, school, freelance, or hobby screen-printing experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous screen-printing experience is helpful but not required
- Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, hands-on projects, and relevant work experience will be considered
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Requirements include:
- Standing and walking for most of the workday
- Frequent use of the hands for grasping, handling materials, and fine manipulation
- Reaching, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Moving or lifting materials weighing up to 45 pounds, using assistance or material-handling equipment when appropriate
- Visual ability sufficient to inspect print alignment, clarity, color consistency, and product quality, with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to distinguish colors when required for ink preparation and quality inspection
This position works in an air-conditioned production and warehouse environment. Employees may work around moving machinery and may experience light dust, printing-related odors or fumes, and occasional changes in temperature or humidity. Required personal protective equipment and job-specific safety training will be provided.
