Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Organizational Design and Leadership Effectiveness. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports Electric Boat leaders and employees by enabling strong performance, effective coaching, and organizational development. This role provides foundational HR partnership with a focus on leadership development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and talent development. The HRBP will help build a positive and productive workplace culture by supporting performance management, employee development, retention strategies, and engagement initiatives.

This is a developmental position ideal for earlycareer professionals interested in organizational development, leadership effectiveness, and strategic HR work.

In addition to the above this position will also be responsible for

Organizational Effectiveness & Development
• Support a strong leadership and coaching culture that enhances the employee experience throughout the employment life cycle
• Drive employee engagement by proactively gathering and assessing employee feedback, anticipating needs, and recommending solutions
• Partner with leaders on coaching, teambuilding, and development activities aligned with business goals
• Support the facilitation and deployment of employee development programs and training sessions.
• Contribute to employee engagement strategies and assist in delivering engagement metrics and insights to business leaders.

Performance Management
• Provide coaching and support to leaders on effective performance management practices and interventions.
• Offer guidance to employees regarding performance expectations, development opportunities, and career growth pathways.
• Help ensure performance goals are communicated and annual assessments are completed through the performance management system.
• Support the annual goal-setting cycle, performance assessment process, ongoing feedback discussions, and development planning to elevate individual and team performance.

Retention & Culture Enhancement
• Assist in the implementation of retention-focused strategies and best practices.
• Support efforts that promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.



Responsibilities

Skills:

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn and grow within the HR and organizational development field.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including metrics and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • 2+ years of experience facilitating training, workshops, or employee development sessions.
  • 2+ years of experience building or maintaining HR documentation, SOPs or process guides.
  • 1+ years of partnering with senior or executive leadership to address HR or employee needs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
  • Must be available for all shifts, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ Years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience developing or scaling mentoring, coaching, or leadership development programs.
  • Experience coordinating or contributing to change-management activities or organization-wide rollouts.
  • Experience analyzing HR, engagement, or performance data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with measurable impact on engagement, retention, or development.
  • Experience designing curriculum, modules, or training content aligned to organization goals.
