Job Description
Precision Private Security is seeking a professional, experienced, and dependable Armed Courthouse Security Supervisor for a courthouse assignment in Tehama, California.

The Armed Supervisor is responsible for providing on-site leadership while also performing courthouse security and screening duties as needed. This position helps ensure officers follow post orders, maintain professional standards, complete required documentation, and respond appropriately to security concerns and incidents.

The successful candidate must be able to lead by example, communicate clearly, remain composed under pressure, and maintain a professional relationship with courthouse personnel, the public, law enforcement, and Precision Private Security management.

Primary Responsibilities
•Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to assigned courthouse security officers.
•Maintain a professional and visible armed security presence.
•Ensure officers report to assigned posts on time, properly equipped, and in appropriate uniform.
•Monitor compliance with post orders, courthouse procedures, company policies, and client expectations.
•Assist with screening individuals entering the courthouse for weapons, prohibited items, and other unauthorized or potentially dangerous items.
•Operate or oversee the use of metal detectors, X-ray equipment, handheld screening devices, and other courthouse security equipment.
•Coordinate officer coverage, breaks, and post assignments as directed.
•Respond to and assist with security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and other operational concerns.
•Notify management and appropriate courthouse personnel of significant incidents or security concerns.
•Review incident reports, daily activity reports, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
•Provide coaching and corrective direction when officers fail to follow procedures or performance expectations.
•Assist with training and orientation of newly assigned officers.
•Maintain professional communication with courthouse staff, supervisors, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public.
•Document and report attendance concerns, policy violations, performance issues, or operational deficiencies to Precision Private Security management.
•Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures in accordance with established protocols.
•Perform other supervisory and security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
•Must be at least 21 years of age.
•Current California BSIS Guard Card required.
•Current California BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit required.
•Must be qualified for the firearm caliber carried while on duty and maintain required BSIS firearms qualifications.
•Must provide current licensing and applicable training documentation.
•Must have completed required BSIS Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force training.
•Must maintain required BSIS security officer training and continuing education applicable to current registration status.
•Prior security experience required.
•Prior lead, supervisor, field supervisor, or equivalent leadership experience strongly preferred.
•Reliable transportation and reliable means of communication required.
•Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment and assignment screening requirements.
•Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
•Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Must communicate clearly and professionally.
•Must be able to write, review, and correct accurate and factual security reports.
•Must exercise sound judgment and remain composed during stressful or rapidly changing situations.
•Must be able to give clear direction, address performance concerns professionally, and maintain accountability among assigned officers.

Required Documentation
Applicants should be prepared to provide:
•Current BSIS Guard Card.
•Current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit.
•Applicable firearms qualification documentation.
•Power to Arrest training documentation.
•Appropriate Use of Force training documentation.
•Documentation of completed BSIS-required security officer training applicable to current registration status.
•Additional relevant security, supervisory, or professional training certificates.

Required licenses and permits must remain current and in good standing throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications
•At least 2 years of verifiable security experience.
•Previous security supervisor, field supervisor, shift lead, or site lead experience.
•Prior courthouse, government facility, screening, access control, or institutional security experience.
•Prior armed security experience.
•Experience supervising security officers in a public-facing environment.
•Experience operating or supervising metal detector and X-ray screening operations.
•Strong report-writing and documentation review skills.
•Experience with incident response, de-escalation, and conflict resolution.
•Strong attendance, reliability, and professional communication skills.
•Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, public safety, or first responder experience.
•Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Compensation
$23.00–$26.00 per hour DOE

Starting pay within the posted range will be based on relevant security experience, supervisory experience, qualifications, certifications, and assignment requirements.
