Respiratory Therapist Technician in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Respiratory Therapist Technician to join our Home Medical Equipment team in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: Full Time

• Work Shift: Days

• Hours: Mon -Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm

• On Call 1 week per month

What Your Day Looks Like: CMH Home Medical Equipment helps you or your loved one achieve maximum independence in the home environment. Supplemental oxygen equipment, support aids and other products provide assistance.

Services include:

• In-home equipment, such as hospital beds, transfer equipment, tub rails, grab bars and elevated toilet seats

• Ambulatory aids, such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, chair lifts, electric mobility devices and power wheelchairs

• Special health supplies, such as diabetic supplies, ostomy supplies, breast pumps and prosthetics, heating pads, moist heat packs and braces

• Uniforms and shoes

• Sleep therapy equipment (CPAP)

• Home oxygen services, including proper installation, usage and maintenance of the machines

• Nebulizer compressors

As a Respiratory Therapist Technician, you will be:

• Documenting respiratory care provided to patients

• Answering general insurance questions, helping customers understand the billing of equipment, referring to billing staff as needed.

• Coordinating medically prescribed home respiratory care services;

• Performing services accurately, safely, and according to policy and procedures, utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served including neonate, infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

• Providing instruction and/or training in the use of HME equipment to patients and customers

• Fitting of equipment for patients

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; training in accredited respiratory care program

Experience: One- year in Respiratory Care field

Skills: Computer, Customer Service, Good communicator, Ability to solve problems over the phone

Licensure/Certification: Certified Respiratory Care Technician

Physical Requirements: Lift up to 25lbs, Navigate stairs comfortably
