Position Summary
The Military Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving growth for Shakespeare’s Military Products Group. This position is responsible for the full business development lifecycle—prospecting, securing new customers, and expanding relationships with strategic accounts. You will champion our mission by building strong partnerships with the Department of Defense, government agencies, and industry leaders, while also managing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to U.S. allies. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic planning, market analysis, and relationship management to position Shakespeare as a trusted partner in defense communications and technology.

Key Responsibilities
· Strategic Growth: Develop and execute business strategies that achieve revenue and market share objectives while protecting core positions.
· Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with DoD decision-makers, defense primes, and key influencers across all organizational levels.
· Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis, pricing reviews, and identify emerging opportunities to differentiate Shakespeare in the marketplace.
· Proposal Leadership: Lead bid and proposal efforts for RFPs/RFIs, ensuring compelling submissions aligned with customer requirements.
· Brand Advocacy: Represent Shakespeare at industry events, trade shows, and field demonstrations to maintain visibility and credibility.
· Sales Execution: Drive new product launches, deliver on sales targets, and manage forecasts and performance analytics.
· Innovation: Identify co-creation opportunities and tailor solutions to meet unique customer needs.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; minimum 5-7 years in defense market business development.
· Strong network within DoD and agencies such as C4ISR, PEO C3T, PEO IEW&S preferred.
· Prior military service in signal or electronic warfare roles is a plus.
· Proven success in defense communications, tactical radios, antennas, C4ISR, or electronic warfare systems.
· Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
· Ability to travel extensively (30–40%) for customer visits, trade shows, and international engagements.
