As the HEOR Modeling Director, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for health economic modeling activities, supporting global value strategies and evidence generation initiatives. You will lead a specialized team, oversee the development of economic models, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance market access objectives.
- Define and execute modeling strategies across therapeutic areas and pipeline assets.
- Lead and support the HEOR Modeling team in developing and implementing economic models that support product value strategies.
- Oversee the development of global cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, including model design, programming, quality assurance, validation, and vendor management.
- Provide strategic guidance for health technology assessment (HTA) submissions and reimbursement discussions.
- Support regional teams with model adaptation processes, training, and ongoing technical guidance.
- Provide thought leadership on economic modeling approaches to inform strategic planning and evidence generation activities.
- Collaborate with clinical, commercial, market access, and research teams to identify evidence needs related to economic models.
- Contribute subject matter expertise to ensure appropriate interpretation and application of HEOR evidence.
- Design, interpret, and support evidence generation studies that strengthen economic evaluations.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Manage complex projects and priorities within a highly collaborative, matrixed global environment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced health economics leader with strong technical modeling expertise and the ability to influence strategic decisions across a global organization.
- Advanced degree in health economics or a related discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, epidemiology, or a similar field.
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in health economics and outcomes research or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing health economic models.
- Strong preference for experience supporting HTA submissions, reimbursement strategies, and payer negotiations.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost-effectiveness modeling, budget impact analysis, and evidence generation strategies.
- Ability to manage complex projects and navigate ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and scientific rigor.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
